The Begining

Buenos Aires, Argentina

I just spent my last 12 pesos on a hair cut, attempting to clean up my longish, thinning, middle-aged hair for this ‘art opening’ I had thrown together taking place later tonight. How am I going to raise the funds for an around the world adventure trip with my ATM and credit cards gone (lost in a melee at the Boca Juniors futbol match last Wednesday - what was I thinking, bringing my wallet?!) with no money in my account anyways and with no real possibility of income on the horizon?

This email dialogue with childhood friend Dave McCutcheon prompted this blog:

nothing will happen till some $$ comes through, so take it all in stride.

if i do procure a significant amount of cash and support, then you can seriously think about it, you'd be in, right?? Otherwise, i'd pitch another angle, which as of now, doesn't sound as interesting.

and i'll make sure we're connected the entire trip. maybe that's the angle? we'll get Wired to publish it, that'll be super easy. my buddy mike here writes for them.

you like realroadtrip? i'll build it in WordPress to try that out... nah, Joomla! for sure... tons of plug ins and add on mods. i'll draft out some blog over the weekend.

why would we not do this? think of the possibilities and of the things we can never imagine that will happen...
